I was there, it went from a kinda weird post getting re-blogged to the site completely degrading into chaos. Tumblr users got a brief glimpse of the sheer potential and ran with it as far as they could as fast as they could immediately after they realized what was going on.
An absolute burst of raw creativity just aching to be harnessed.
