Especially on this website, where you can just block any tag you don't want to see. People are aggressive about tagging things here (good) sometimes to a fault (having difficulties accepting that sometimes people don't want stuff to be tagged so no one can stumble on it randomly, but clarifying your wishes tends to get people to respect them).
Block the appropriate tags, and you never have to interact with that part of the website. I am friends with multiple dolls, but I have most dollposting/empty spaces related tags blocked because it's a phobia of mine. I have not unwillingly seen a single dollpost in a year. It works fine. Use it, and never be bothered.
Unless, of course, trying to curate your feed isn't why you have a DNI list. If the purpose of your DNI list is to state allegiances, draw lines in the sand, then I humbly suggest: don't. Please leave that stuff on whatever webbed site you came from, because it is not good for your mental wellbeing. It makes you automatically buy into a certain kind of binaristic purity thinking, and that is not the sort of attitude we want to foster on Cohost.
If you strongly feel the need to preemptively signal allegiances and fandom rivalries, or some stance in some kinda bizarro purity culture shit, then consider that Cohost might not be the website for you, as you'll feel miserable here.
