as far as i can tell this would read (in the Western Cree languages at least, cuz the syllabics are actually used for a bunch of different first nations canadian languages, but the Cree dialect continuum were the languages it was developed for initially):

seems like according to what im reading here the ê vowel merged with the î vowel in some component languages

imagining a plains cree speaking dude walking past a movie theater and doing a double take on the poster
