It could mean anything, if you're friends maybe it's just an affectionate nibble, but if you're enemies? PERHAPS A DEADLY CHOMP! it's the thrill of not knowing that makes the bites so powerful, I think it's an important feature.
Also the button should change to say HOMPH immediately after clicking before changing back.
