a couple weeks ago I found a roll of Kodak Technical Pan in 120 in the expired bin at a camera/film store. It was $8 so I grabbed it... I'd heard great things about this now discontinued film stock... I knew if I didn't start shooting it soon it'd sit in my freezer and go to waste, never being shot.
so I loaded it up, shot a trichrome, and left it in my camera for a week... scared to shoot more lest I waste one of the finite number of rolls of this film left.
yesterday I went for a walk, and I brought the bronica with me. I was going to finish the roll, and I was gonna enjoy the film while I could... a few bad shots on the roll is less of a waste than never shooting it.
This shot was taken with an orange filter to try to get some extra contrast in the sky, longer exposure time than I'd tend to be comfy with hand held... but it worked... it came out beautiful... oil painting like?
Now the roll is shot... I may never shoot tech pan again... but if I do, it'll be the same feelings over again.
I've fallen in love with something I know will be taken from me.
no... not will.. has been taken from me, and I'm just enjoying what's left.
Kodak Technical Pan, 120, shot in a bronica etrs, developed in c41 developer at room temperature for about 7 minutes (no stop bath, timing using music not a stop watch... pretty vibes based)
