Have you ever noticed in a household with more than one cat (blessed) the MAJORITY of FELINE AGGRESSION occurs when no humans are walking around? THIS IS NOT A COINCIDENCE!
Cats are like MAGNETS and they will SNAP TOGETHER if they don't have an active Pathfinder equipped!
If no humans are moving, the cats will converge, neither willing to be responsible for finding a path out!!! This creates TENSION! This tension can generally be overridden the instant a human appears and is identified as Pathfinder. This can also result in a "QUICK DRAW" scenario. One cat will attempt to claim the available pathfinder sooner than the other, the loser will in flop in place and relinquish their move turn.
If the cats choose to bypass the Quick Draw and ESCALATE the situation to "STAND OFF" each cat will need to perform a DEXTERITY or RESOLVE check (whichever stat is higher), loser, will again flop and lose their move turn. The GM may overrule this escalation by offering a DEVIL'S BARGAIN (usually involving TREATS†) 
† In place of Treats the GM may choose instead to offer alternative combat with a level 3 or higher puppet-nemesis.
