I like treating highlighters like watercolor.
I encourage everyone who wants to learn to draw to practice this way. There's immense value to be found in margins and on post-its. Skip pencil sketching. Make mistakes in ink and learn from them directly.
These are all done on the backs of scrap office papers, post it notes, and drawn in highlighters/bic pens.
