I'm not gonna mention this during my run on Wednesday, but this GDQ might be my final GDQ I run in. I don't really see it happening again, at least for a while. I don't wanna make it a big deal, but GDQ has been very special to me for a long time. I've had a run in every GDQ since 2018, except for three, and two of those I intentionally didn't submit to. I've been monumentally lucky to get in as much as I have, and many people tell me that GDQ isn't GDQ without a weird fucked up Lizstar run, and I appreciate all the love, but I've been semi-retired now for like... a year or so. I kinda don't have the same passion for speedrunning.

I've been submitting less and less, and this year I only submitted two things. Next year I expect I'll only submit the one thing I didn't get in this time. I didn't expect Dharma Doujo to get in, but I REALLY don't expect Tall: Twins Tower to get in, so this may be the last time you see me on the stage, unless people want me to be on their couch (which I will always say yes to btw)

And I will of course still COME to GDQs. I expect to still volunteer and hang out, and play weird fucked up shit. I'm just semi-retired now. But thanks to everyone for stickin' with me for the past... fuck, five years.

I hope you all enjoy my run <3 I really hope I don't mess it up or this post will become comical.

It's honestly been really heartwarming in the past few events\years seeing some of the senior GDQrs (or those in its direct orbit) kinda dip out of being a "core" member, but still stick around to support in other ways, even if it's just still attending and hanging around. So many very very good people around and it really sucks to see any of them leave in a more permanent capacity. People gotta do their own things, though! Wishing you the best no matter what may come.

Your runs are always a highlight for me, but that's because you show off weird unknown games you're passionate about. Better to quit while you're ahead than wear yourself out. I won't be able to catch your run live this time, but I look forward to the vod.
