if you're going to get an rss catcher and subscribe to blogs you should know that mastodon accounts have built in rss if you want to keep up with anyone who posts there without dealing with the clusterfuck aspects of the network

identify a user you like, say @nora@blob.love
go to their page on their instance, in this case https://blob.love/@nora
add .rss to the end: https://blob.love/@nora.rss

Sometimes these RSS feeds are difficult to find (especially blue sky), so what I do is open developer tools and go to element inspector to open up the HTML. Then, I do a find/search for "rss" and if there is an rss link the search will pick it up!
