How exactly does playing the Song of Storms drain the well? I get the initial logic of the storm winds causing the windmill to go haywire - hence why I didn't ask why the rain wouldn't cause the well to overflow - but what possible connection could that have to the well? If there's some kind of drainage system linking the windmill to the well (why on earth you would even want a drainage system connected to something designed to store water, I have no idea), then wouldn't it naturally cause the well to drain anyway; just at a slower rate compared to Link playing the Song of Storms?

at a guess, the idea is that the well includes a mechanism to pump water for some task and normally pumps water at less than the rate of whatever natural mechanism refills the well; like a lot of OoT I feel like I don't know enough about wells in Japanese folklore to do any more than post-rationalise, though
