thinkin bout how much i love the korps as, like, not just a particular comic book but an entire universe

kind of like how marvel has, say, spider-man (one of those "i will save my villains from themselves and never kill if i can help it" heroes, generally), deadpool ("the body count in this comic is lower than my usual, but only because we'll be reducing several of those bodies into a fine red paste instead"), and folks along the spectrum between the two

or, in the Korps: Ellen "Zero Casualties" Foxpaw and Erika "You Wanna See How Many Knives I Can Fit In This Bitch" Heartbreakerton exist in the same universe

different focal characters will color the world differently depending on what conflicts and stakes are appropriate for them! it's fuckin rad!! i love that ellen "i could not handle the weight of having a person's death on my conscience" foxpaw is getting eagerly railed by carmen "maximum kills mgs run" rayne!

like, to use the Heartbreakers (extremely canon) as a comparison point: again, they're called in and slaughter enemy forces wholesale, to my understanding

meanwhile, in Crystallization (fanfic, but accepted as a canon point for many KEU fics including my own), tensions between the Korps and state forces are portrayed as a cold war with neither side overcommitting for fear of mass casualties on either side

and you can say that, well, that's Texas, that's out-and-out state police/military forces in public, that may be different than the people the Heartbreakers are fighting up in Canada, or you can just say, "well, yeah, this is the world as viewed through Slate's goggles as opposed to the Heartbreakers', and sometimes there are going to be huge thematic differences in plot and which setting details are important"

if you try to fit every single story written and drawn by dozens--if not hundreds--of diferent creators together in one universe, there are gonna be some discrepancies, and tbh i think that's actually just rad af

Who obeys one of Nozomi's constant rules of life through the ages and various versions of herself.

There is no problem that can't be solved by fire in large enough doses.
Does the problem still exist? You didn't use enough fire.

I backed away in part due to being shamed because Min killed. Because Min was still willing to kill. It seemed like in certain segments there was a thought pattern going on that anything dark was not welcome. That to have a villain kill was to make them as bad or worse than the heroes.

Min has killed. She tries not too as a general rule. But she has, and can kill. So has Ragefox. Tzadik. Some more willingly than others. Hell, Min's story opens with her seeking revenge, being satisfied with it, and slowly finding that she's still hollow inside after it. I don't precisely know where I fit in.

Min has killed and it is objectively hot and cool when she does so #HotGirlShit #HottieWithABodyCount
