I somehow once hallucinated that the trailer of TotK contained a good Ganondorf and haven't thought much of this. And now, trying to find again that one first trailer, I can see it never existed.
You were probably thinking of those comics that involved Ganondorf's spirit accompanying Link and Zelda as they explore under the castle. Some of them even got voiced.
I also thought there was a Denny's Skyrim mod.......
