long story short, I can't keep living here in Long Island, The family situation has been getting increasingly abusive and putting me at risk of going homeless. I dealt with my home burning down last year because a member of my family decided to leave the house on a careless romantic fling without telling anyone where she was, when it burned down. I lost so much already, and the people that that person associates with, are worrying me.

I'll need to begin saving up enough to get myself over to Seattle with my car, before this coming winter.

I'm atm looking for:

  • short-term local or remote job, Long Island/NYC/NJ/PHL area, for ~6mo, doing "practically anything" for ~$17-25/hr or more
  • a long-term Seattle-local job, enough to pay rent and food, closer to my core competencies (which range from web frontend to embedded or Linux systems design/architecture)

When I say "practically anything", I can easily lift >75lbs. I'll rack servers in a datacenter, or carry cement bags. Whatever works.

And if you know of any cheap places in the Seattle area, let me know.
(I'd like to keep around Roosevelt, but almost anywhere's good at the moment.)
Not seeking roommates unless I already know you elsewhere.

I'm also open to money help. Contact me directly over an ask here, or on Discord, for details. I'm putting this down here right now, rather than at the top, because I don't currently have an easier way to receive money than PP and I know that's not always good to use for this, so I'll probably sign up on GFM or something soon. (Avoid scammers - please know you're talking to me, first, before you send anything.)

I don't have a concrete goal yet - think "money for a car with a 300 mile tank to drive from Long Island to Seattle", plus 1br rent in Seattle for a couple months. I'll have a better number when I set up GFM or something.

definitely interested. I've been fixing up my resume a bit, too, so I'm somewhat hopeful. what's the landscape look like as far as positions there, and are they remotable or fully in-office? (I'm good with either, once I'm in the area, but right now I'm on the other side of the country still)
