on the one hand i think it's very cool that fantasy gives us species that don't "mature" until they're like 40 years old (like elves) and species that are adults at like 15 (halflings, sometimes)
on the other hand i hate how often in Dungeon Meshi a character is listed as "17" and I have to groan and try to figure out if cat people or oni girls age differently or if that is an Actual Teenager
like i am obviously gonna err on the side of caution here but i wish it was a little more obvious whether or not i should, y'know???
