Hi, I've been saddled with an impossible amount of negative balance due to roughly 30 assessments of overdraft fees in the past week. Each fee is $40, and I have attempted multiple times to get them to reverse the charges because of the excess, but they refuse to reverse more than 2. That still leaves me roughly $1100 underwater.
This is due to automatic bill payments that I have to make. I have attempted moving them to a credit card, but no online services will allow it and thus i am forced to let it hit my already overdrawn checking account. All-in-all the charges themselves amount to less than $300. I'm looking to raise about $1500-$2000 to get these frankly obscene overdraft fees paid, and my account back above water so that my first paycheck at my new job does not get completely vaporized by fees just to leave me still in the negative to accrue more.
It's a vicious system, and I can't escape this cycle without help. I have unemployment payments now nine weeks delayed. With likely another month ahead at least. Attempting to reach out to them has proved fruitless.
Any help is greatly appreciated, I really am in over my head and feel completely hopeless for clawing my way back out. It feels like fucking quicksand.
I'm working on changing banks but, either way the debts have to get paid.
