  • Half Life 1: This one has been on my backlog for a while and I will admit that I turned on cheats half way thru just so I could have fun and dick around. Still solved the puzzles though. I enjoyed it.

  • Metroid Prime Remastered: Such an amazing remaster, holy shit, the game is gorgeous. This was my first playthrough of Prime 1, even though I've owned Prime Trilogy on the Wii for years. Will say I highly prefer the dual stick plus gyro controls, compared to the Wii Mote. Can only hope we get Echoes and Corruption on Switch, with the same level of polish.

  • Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: In the best way possible, it's more Breath of the Wild. It's my pick for GOTY 2023. A superb follow-up to BOTW, there's a more involved story, albeit only slightly, as you still go around and collect memories. The first time I found a chasm and leapt into it, I was amazed, the Depths have this forboding feel to them, like you shouldn't be there. The terrain is an inverse of the surface, but it all looks like a dead, ancient ocean, almost. Also that Ganondorf fight rules, it's great.

  • The Legend of Zelda (NES): Booted this one up and beat it for the first time a few days before TOTK launched, it's a solid little adventure, even today. Best played with a map though, as items and even dungeons are hidden underneath unmarked rocks and bushes. Still not as cryptic as Metroid on the NES, however.

I've been playing a bunch of stuff though, beat a romhack of OOT called The Sealed Palace, and it was pretty good, have been emulating older monster hunter titles such as portable 3rd, and 4 ultimate. 4U, i do own on 3ds physically, but i dumped my copy and save data, cause playing a game like that on 3ds is a direct route to carpal tunnel.
