ok i finally realised just how fucking loaded with sugar fizzy juice is.
for context, ive been avoiding fizzy juice for months, simply because i couldnt be arsed carrying a 2l bottle home with me, at first, and then because i'd prefer to drink dilution juice. Since then I've been able to identify the times ive consumed too much sugar, because of the uncomfortable jitteryness called a sugar rush.
i only get fizzy juice when getting a meal deal (which is occasionally) these days, and i grabbed a bottle of coke with lunch. actually looked at the nutrition on it for once. saw that it had 27g of sugar in a 500ml bottle. the recommended daily intake is 30g.
the amount of sugar in that coke was more than triple the amount i put in my coffee. (2tsp for reference, because i have 2tsp for instant coffee granules. look, actual coffee beans are hard to find here.) i have one coffee a day, in the morning, but i never end up finishing more than about 50 or 60 per cent of the cup.
