protip: get one of those extensions that disable javascript altogether (such as https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disable-javascript/). most websites rely on javascript to show cookie/consent interstitials and ad serving; disabling javascript stops all of that garbage in a single click on most websites.
I think Ublock origin has a built in button to block javascript on specific sites!
