I'll delete this later, but thinking of using Cohost as not just a way to keep up with the korps but also talk about my hobbies. In which I'll tag each one when I do talk about them, Chess is already something I've mentioned and want to draw Yvonne playing or to have illustrations of her that make use of chess motifs.

Other hobbies include:

  • Aircraft Modelling
  • Kite-Flying
  • Language Learning (Gaelic & French)
  • Wet Photography
  • Bass Guitar

There are others, likely far too many with such shallow interest it barely is worth mentioning. Sure I go hiking but not to such a degree where I think analytically about it and have opinions about boots, sticks, and what to pack. If I want to talk about a hobby, it's going to need to be something I'm insightful towards that its an engaging read.

I want to start by making a monthly-ish chess column about what I've learnt and how I've improved my game, that maybe other people can pick up on the hobby.

Normally we are super duper mega wary of sharing private info. Especially in a space that is wide open to anyone who might want to go scraping for data. But we feel cozy sharing some stuff here. It feels more private. Like, we never really had a following on Twitter so we wouldn't know, but it feels like the folks who follow us here do so because they care about the things we say.

We wanted to ask, what's wet photography? :o Also, just, those are fun hobbies <3 Kite-flying sounds so hecking delightful.

I get you, and one decision I made when picking up hobbies was how much an algorithm could potentially monetize it. That said, Wet photography is where you use chemicals to develop and fix prints, think of the classic red room with the trays. Its that. People still enjoy doing that despite the advent of Digital SLRs.
