It's true, my entire tuesday just went up in heavy dozy Z's. I have no regrets. Most of the proudest work I've done is in twenty minute bursts, so I see it as me charging my ultimate.
That said I've got some new directions for the game.
- Making the Game Design Document (Standard Beginning Route)
- Following Tutorials on Youtube to learn my tools inside and out (Lastnight's Gambit)
- Going back to Twine but using it as a Storyboard and to organize a complete set of notes, with tonight's focus on the actual by chapter plot breakdown.
- Illustrating the supporting casts and who my current favourites are. (hint. Its Sinner, my mathematics manipulating nonbinary zebra korps agent.)
- Illustrating Yvonne using her more hypnotic powers. (Two ideas I'm just calling 'Shadow Power' of her walking across the deck of a ship, having the crew standing at attention, their eyes and hers pitch black, and "The Sound of an Ocean Crashing in Your Skull" doing the whole hand levitating a hero in a choke hold as they struggle against her mental influence.)
Ultimately I think I'm going with the GDD route tonight, the others are all great, the last one I might get around to because I'm in dire need of crushing my art block, and choking some caped nuisance sounds like a good use of my time. It might also work as a debut for one of the enemies in the game.
