For a bookclub. I have one story, not yet finished that I've had to put to the side to deal with depressing family issues, I have less than a week to make something complete. Wherein it'll be narrated to others, and I'll be there for a Q&A.
Currently, I am caught between two ideas I could see myself finishing, fine-tooth combing for edits, and redrafting in the nick of time.
OPTION A: "The Interview" a spy-thriller cape-basher story of a korps operative getting a job interview in an unlikely place, the GCHQ. A case of mixed loyalty may as well turn into a lesson about being careful who's hand you hold, and who can see your face.
OPTION B: "This is not an exit." a medical horror where one superheroine slowly realizes things aren't as black and white as they appear, when the seductive new villain of the week announces she'll be helping them in a random act of mass destruction in a live studio broadcast. The stage is set, and the clock is ticking down.
If either one is finished, I want to do a little extra bonus just for them, the first few pages of Nature's Revolver or at least the script.
