You know that set of three panels by Alison Bechdel?
"By drawing the everyday lives of women like me. I hoped to make lesbians more visible, not just to ourselves but to everyone." - "How could they help but love us?" - "I mean seriously?! We're so awesome! Free-Thinkers! Vegetarians! Pacifists! At the forefront of every social justice movement!?" - "They seemed essentially ... well ... more highly evolved!"
I have and share that same intensity of love for trans people, and it's wild despite all our struggles, just how much we have achieved. In particular, I'm thinking of Jennell Jaquays who was a pioneer in TTRPGs for her level design, and Sophie the hyperpop musician. But I'm also looking at people who are still with us, still making a dent in society and seeing what we're doing in the now.
