nobody'd mourn any of the other social internet things if they got shut down, not like this. no chance! folks might get upset or a bit lost, but not mournful of the thing itself. nobody'd be like "i loved this place, this was huge for me". you might wish facebook wasn't getting shut down but you'd also wish you didn't wish that. everybody kind of knows that stuff is bad for you
look at the goodbye cohost tag! what an unusual display of internet yearning. imagine making something this many thoughtful people are this sad about it going away. they oughta be proud of this forever
