One of the reasons I'll never truly be successful is when pride month rolls around I make images like this and post them publicly.

Some friends use bluesky and while I prefer using cohost, it is nice to have a secondary social media for just shitposting dumb thoughts. I mean I could do that here, too, but. I dunno. Anyway, not the point,

I posted this image on there and woke up to QTs and replies that are like "UM ACTUALLY VISIBILITY IS GOOD" and "UM CORPORATIONS BEING FORCED TO HAVE RAINBOWS IS A WIN ACTUALLY" and like. If I could dunk every liberal who starts arguments with me missing the damn point of what I'm saying then the ocean would be permanently inhabitable.

I have zero patience, active hatred, towards people who choose queers as their targets to argue and attack instead of people who actually do harm because it's not about doing anything righteous to them, it's about control and having power over others. Intentionally missing the point so they can argue with an "easy target." Insidious bullshit. Kiss my ass.

shut the fuck up, brand thrall

I wouldn't say "mad," but I get snarky shit like "Visibility is good, actually" and "Actually it's a cultural win that corporations feel the need to use rainbows" which just completely miss the point and reminds me of so much bullshit I can't stand

I used to be a big fan of the rainbow logos, and now I'm more in line with your views here, and at neither point did I feel the need to um-actually at a trans person about it. I am sorry the bsky libs found this too much to ask.

I guess it is mildly concerning that brands no longer want to take the political risk of having rainbow logos, but corporations fucking suck and I don't know why people would want to have their approval anyway. Still boggles my mind that people will actually look up to them and view them as a cool and epic thing.

bsky has a lot of like very stupid 30-50 barely-rad-libs on it with icons that are pictures of their faces and senses of humor that are maybe three rungs more in touch than boomer humor but still old feeling and somehow i have managed to avoid them by sticking to furries
