Also this was one of my most popular pieces of all time when i first posted it so if i am really serious about taking Viktor all the way back to the beginning and rewriting everything maybe i should start with this queer little ratfucker right here

Okay but what if vilepaws were hermaphroditic. as in they are all born with female secondary sex characteristics but they can develop male secondary sex characteristics during adolescence, therefore making gender almost exclusively performance for vilepaws. viktor being male would make him more nonbinary than anything, because he didn't develop those characteristics at any point, he just wants to be viewed in what we'd call a masculine way. This is a terrible way of explaining it, cuz an agender species with vaginas most of the time but occasionally some develop penises aren't really gonna see "male, female, and non-binary" the same way we do.

i think it would give me a lot of space to experiment with gender in VILE but--but-- I also know that Viktor's personality has been firmly set in "he's a trans man" and while he's my character and i can do as i like with him, i worry about veering out of my lane by changing him to be non-binary/agender instead, like i'm stripping what gives him so much of who he is.

I also definitely think I need to work this idea through a bit more before going forward with it cuz if i did this badly i could unintentionally make some shit that makes EVERYONE uncomfortable and then i'm just an asshole lol
