ive used one for almost 2 years now and have had asthma since i was a kid, they work great as long as you keep em clean
For what it’s worth, Health Canada has authorized specific dry herb vapourizers (such as Volcano’s) as acceptable for medical use.
When I was working in medicinal cannabis everyone on our crew who had a medical prescription used a vape. Which isn’t scientific but hey.
Anecdotally as a long term medical and recreational user, huge improvement over smoke for when you need immediate effects (and I think generally better cardio fitness for me after switching). The big thing is making sure you get something decent - the low throughput and battery life on cheaper convection vapes is often just not worth your time. I’ve used an Arizer Pro II that I really liked, always wanted to save for a Storz and Bickel.
Anecdotal but I use a PAX 3 as my only cannabis consumption method these days, vaping dry herb. It reduces potentially nullifies any of the coughing / bad feelings that came from smoking joints regularly. Also makes me less burnt out, and I find myself needing to use less and less cannabis to be satisfied in a session. I feel like a majority of the studies i see about how vapes are harmful has do do with the liquid vape medium used in disposable cartridges with the glycerin and vitamin E etc.
