i feel like part of the phenomenon influencing the signal-to-noise ratio in internet discourse is that people who are good at vocalizing their thoughts are also far more discerning about which thoughts to vocalize and when.

The universe would be a better place if more people went "eh, fuck it. It's not worth responding to this."
At least half my posts conclude with me saying 'ahh, nobody wants to hear this' and deleting.
