people in the furry community have seen everything, so when they find out my fursona is a duck they're like "oh, cute!"
but queer folks who only know about furries tangentially are always very excited to find out "duck" is an option. they just never considered it before! when they find out i'm a duck they're usually like "OMG" and that's really nice!
when your normal community finds everything old hat, encountering people who think that your take is new and surprising can be really refreshing
I absolutely loved randomly coming across your duck, he's adorable and heckin neat! Ive been a furry for years and I always forgot that feathered friends were an option.
