I feel strongly that it's important for atheists and other non-religous people (especially the formerly religious) to make up their own new holidays and rituals that they can find meaning in. Otherwise Disney and Walmart just fill in that part of your life with Black Friday and discounted Easter peeps.

Even if it's really cheesy stuff like "May Forth" where you try to make a big movement forward on something on May 4th. Or making lots of pies to eat on pi day.

I also think for every holiday you've lost you're absolutely given the right to make just as many just as big personal holidays to share alone or w friends
