the reason i listen to neils mashups unironically and absolutely nobody elses is because his are the only ones i've ever heard where i felt like the first goal was to make it a good song. one can call it "novelty music" but the bangers are genuine bangers and i have never felt that about any other mashup artist.
he really is making a whole new song out of two or more others. and when you recognize one added to the mix, it's like opening a present.
not to mention he adds original music! maybe other artists do that but nothing anyone has ever sent my way

the entire backing track for Wow Wow is original, Space Monkey Mafia is an original, 300MB is original. there's others, and NONE of them would be NEARLY as good as they are otherwise
