i've seen some posts on twitter lately that say things like "i'm staying on twitter specifically to make elon musk go broke" citing tactics like blocking brands and avoiding paid features, and idk, it's fine to stay on twitter and all, but i guess i think that hypothesis needs a little work.

a really big misunderstanding of what metrics investors/advertisers are looking at lol. the conversation isn't about conversion rates it's about how many eyes are on the timeline
Yeah, like I also see lots of people comparing a need to stay to avoid digital white flight as happened when people moved away from MySpace to Facebook and it's bizarre because it's so very different a situation.
I do think it's this idea that they're going to make him sell it or drive someone else to step in and buy it but I don't think that's going to be likely especially when dealing with still the richest man in the world.
as if it hasn't been said a million times that on places like twitter, users are not the consumers but the product
