My brain for a moment did a quick thought of how much extra work went into this feature existing (completely ignoring the actual gift card) and how much that cost vs just making rent cheaper and I got so fucking mad.
Exact same vibes as working fast food in high school and being told "Yeah if you do a really good job you can get a 15c/hour raise after your first year".
it's so insane when corpos do stuff like this. actively more insulting than if they did nothing at all
