when people say "post nut clarity" they're referring to the sobering realization of the state you just returned from, but the image it conjures is someone busting a nut like "of course! the concierge had a tattoo of a spade above his left index finger! just like the one in the estate manager's letterhead! the laundress is innocent! i know who the murderer is!"

Okay sorta both, but I've legitimately had a moment of intense clarity and solved an unrelated problem like, idk how many times.
