i was 6 in 1997 and i watched a tv spot for james cameron's "titanic" emphasizing "Le Cœur de la Mer" which is the name of the pendant rose wears in the film. not knowing the historical context of the titanic i took this to signify that "titanic" (which my mormon parents forbade me from watching in order to protect me from kate winslet's breasts) was a horror movie about a haunted necklace that caused a ship to sink.
