Things I've read since... I've started reading again. Mostly in order right-to-left. Books on their side I haven't read yet. Shh, they're sleeping.

I guess this will be a primary list for books I've read and what I think? Books will be added in order I read them, more or less. Feel free to send asks or post a comment if you want to talk about them? 🤷‍♀️

The Long Way To a Small Angry Planet: Good, weird, a little queer. Capitalism sucks. The autistic-reptile scene fucked me up real bad.

Hench: I really liked it. Capitalism sucks. Superheroes suck. Some kinda fucked up shit in there. If you like the Korps you'll probably like this though.

This Is How You Lose the Time War: LOVED IT. I loved it so much I want to eat it. Fascism sucks. "Can love bloom on the battlefield?" answered within.

The Woman In the Woods/The Night Marchers/The Girl Who Married A Skull/The Nixie Of the Mill-Pond/Tamamo The Fox Maiden: Comic anthologies of folk tales from various places. Talking animals suck?

The Art of Wolf Walkers: Good shit. Like the movie? Like art? Get it. Christofascism sucks.

A Small Fiction: A bunch of 1-page stories. It'll fuck you up. I liked it. Trauma sucks.

Legends & Lattes: S'fine. Was told there were lesbians, this was technically true, but needs more lesbeans. [More thoughts]. People suck. I think there's a sequel that might have more lesbens?

Qoheleth: S'fine. I liked some of the world building. I don't know if I'd recommend it. [More thoughts]. People in power suck.
Toledot: Euuuurgh. Interesting look into politics, relationships, and the system side of things. [More thoughts]. Manipulation sucks. Staleness sucks.
Nevi'im: Not great to read in a bad mental state if the, uh, stuff from the first book upset you. More coming soon.

Traitors, Thieves, and Liars: Good, some very furry styled horny for better & worse, writing cohered more towards the end? Capitalism sucks. Fascism sucks. Dragons suck. [More thoughts].
Captain's Oath: Weh. [More thoughts].

The Gunrunner and Her Hound: Good despite a rough start the first page in. Some lesbian-horny that isn't my bag. Not motivated to read the sequel. [More thoughts]

A City On Mars: In-depth. Heavy (physically). Kinda depressing? Must-read if you're pushing for a massive Lunar/Martian/etc colony. Somewhat irrelevant if you're only focused on near-term short-term research stuff like the fictional Ares program in The Martian, but might be a worthwhile read anyway, as the former follows the latter, and it's still generally written in a fun way. [Depressing thoughts]

Camp Damascus: Wow that was kind of fucked up. Um. Ending felt kind of weak (feeling like something splattered out and everyone's just blinking at what happened) but overall a good read? Religion as an excuse for bigotry sucks.

Family Meal: Well that was kinda fucked up. Didn't like the writing style so much but a well developed story. Some real heavy shit. Covered a bit of queer life I've not really dealt with, and loved the general conceit that the title alludes to. Cops suck.

Gideon the Ninth: Gideon you loveable dumbass. [More thoughts]. [Maybe watch this after? Or after Harrow?]
Harrow the Ninth: Harrow you unlovable dumbass. [More screaming thoughts].
Nona the Ninth: [More thoughts]
Alecto: Coming soon

Oooh, I could do another for short literature posts on here too. That'd be quite a list. Would certainly love to own a novel by you if you do it though :3

(I've wanted to write a novel or novella at least for a while, too, and the closest I got was a five chapter story I couldn't see through to any ending. It happens. But I know the desire is strong. Dx)
