Per @DailyUnionElections over on Twitter: "with roughly 50% of all possible votes in, UAW holds an insurmountable lead which would either require a massive tallying error or statistically improbable remaining vote share to flip."

Congratulations to the UAW on this huge victory, and to Tennessee Volkswagen workers on not being bullied or coerced out of rallying for better pay and better benefits! Particularly in the face of denunciations by Southern governors by Southern governors and anti-union bills from state legislatures, this result could have huge ramifications. The next big test for the UAW will come at Mercedes-Benz next month (May 13-17)—and with this result I would not be surprised to see Hyundai workers meet the threshold for filing next. Hopefully workers at the remaining companies (Toyota, Honda, Tesla, Nissan, BMW, Subaru, Mazda, Rivian, Lucid, and Volvo) besides these will also begin filing union cards en-masse!
