Words will indeed eventually have some cute Pebbles babies! This is a setting that's pretty much being created as I go, so y'all are seeing it develop in real time.
Words has some issues w depression and self-confidence (each scug has some stuff of their own to deal with), and at first doesn't think it'd make a worthy parent. It eventually gains the confidence to be one after finding an orphan slugpup, which also ties into the greater arc of "Five Pebbles Learns All About Slugcats" in terms of scugs seeing a pup on its own and just taking it in. Life can be hard and short for a scug, so they take care of one another without question.
