Ah ok, so ghosts in this sense are those who still cling onto life for unsatisfied agenda's that they have. But, does that mean for those who are truly unsatisfied are perpetually rotting their minds at the very abyss of the depths?

I don't even think the ghosts are aware that the depths exist. Even if they tried digging down the thinnest part of the crust is as thick as the radius of the Earth.
