Yeah so the images are just completely fucked at the moment. Uhhh if you've decided to follow me on here finally thats great to hear! You won't see me be miserable as a motherfucker on this site, there's more meaningful engagement AND you get to see my shit a day earlier than Twitter users isn't that COOL?

Anyways Twitter is a fuckin shitshow as usual. Artists are gonna have to make their "find me here" tweets again just for dipshits in the replies to be like "haha y r u panicking everything will be fine" as the site dies more and more. It's exhausting man, thanks everyone that has been following me on here so far, you get it.

in reply to @Welwraith's post:

I honestly wish more of the artists I follow come here. I just had to cave and make a Bluesky because "IT'S TWITTER, BUT NOT RUN BY AN ASSHOLE!!" but that's not gonna make a fucking difference...

Bluesky is going to go the exact same route as twitter has with it's adult content and then people are gonna go "WELL WE SHOULD GO TO WHITE FLAG, IT'S A SOCIAL MEDIA SITE RUN BY SOME OF THE DEVS OF BLUESKY!" and then in a year or two it'll just happen again and again...

Every site needs a gay furry in a leadership role specifically to tell people who want to prioritize and commercialize internet content to walk off a cliff while wearing a $4000 fursuit

I think it smells a lot when people try to criticize others for being rightfully concerned about their platform being obliterated because they're just sooo smart and calm and know how everything is gonna play out.

I got it a long time ago. Twitter is just bad for actually browsing art as a whole, and tends to just promote interactions that fucking suck rather than anything else.
The userbase's inherent madness that keeps my blocklist in the actual hundreds is simply another, unrelated though worse problem.

Honestly just glad to have artists that also get it and are thus here, so thank you in turn.

I'm so tired of people insisting there is just absolutely nowhere to go and any possible solution is met with dismissive replies because if your site isn't bombarding you with posts every half minute then it's just "dead" and not worth using.
Not to mention that userbases and communities have to be built up and that does not take a day.
Same people that turn around, complain so much about how awful Twitter is and make no effort to change that or get away from it. Don't even have to quit the damn site altogether, just do -something- that isn't hopping on a bandwagon to a carbon copy website that'll end up the exact same thing and even shows it well after it opened to the public.
Bonus points if they wish for a feature that exists on other websites better suited for artists like Itaku, more if they have a dormant account that they don't use at all.

My condolences to anybody who depends on social media for their livelihoods. There aren't really any good options. You can build a website and store to advertise on healthier social media networks like cohost, parts of the fediverse, and pubsub, but you probably won't get far unless you're also willing to expose yourself to the shitshows that are capitalist social media sites and perform for their algorithms. Even then, that's an uphill battle that can shift at any moment whenever there are backend updates you aren't warned about.

I'm not even surprised about this public opinion. That is to say, I strongly agree with that. "More active on Twitter" mindset is dead now, and existence of other social medias further cement this shit's fate, but Twitter-exclusivity is a different story and, to my dismay, it's still alive.

woah, twitter? wasn't twitter that website back in the day where it's like blogging but it you can only make posts under 100 characters or something? always thought that was a really stupid gimmick but dang thats a blast from the past. i miss the old internet tbh when people would just make weird websites like that. hows twitter doing nowadays anyway? does anyone still use it?

i want to clarify this is not a joke where i condescendingly pretend people should be calling twitter "x", this is a joke where i pretend i didnt know the whole ass website was ever relevant at all and elon musk ruined it by trying and failing to rebrand the website as "x" so now people just respond to my joke by saying "oh, sorry, i mean x dot com"
