as i always do with ludum dare jams, i recorded and uploaded a timelapse of me working on the game! maybe you'll find it interesting :)
Furthest I got so far was 9 holes and 34 strokes! Like the balancing act between getting a hole in one and preventing the soil from drying out and collapsing, to taking time to grow more balls and make it easier to get hole in one, and possibly fix holes that appear. Personally I think its a bit hard as a action/aiming game... I keep thinking it could maybe be like a puzzle/tactics like game where you could potentially prevent holes from being made or cover them up more discretely, but maybe that would mess with the physicality of mini golf. I liked figuring how the mechanics and I'm sure there's a strat to figure out to get a whole garden going. Nice job!
thanks a lot Dan! yeah I think it's too hard, as most my games end up being. there are definitely strategies for building up a large number of gold balls, and that makes landing holes easier

hahaha yeah, I always feel a tiny bit weird to leave that kind of stuff in these. but it's always really fun to me to go back and watch old timelapses and see what kinds of things I was watching/listening to. relive those memories. thanks so much :)
