I talked to some artist friends and we identified a need: there doesn't appear to be any single tag for adult artists to introduce themselves.
Introducing:
an introductions tag for erotica artists, kink illustrators, smut painters, porno peddlers, fetish authors, queer creatives, sex artisans, and what-have-you
Simply make an introduction post on the account you post your art on, and tag it . It's freeform, but consider these ideas:
- include some of your work you feel represents your art best.
- Write a bit about yourself.
- Write a bit about your work, so folks get a sense of what you create.
- Use content warnings at your discretion if your intro post includes, or if you specialize in, kinks/fetishes that others might appreciate a warning for.
- Use the simplest CWs that make it clear what's behind them, so that people who don't mind the content can add them to their "always show" list in the settings. There's no need to phrase one warning several ways, since a CW'd post is hidden by default. (Also, don't c*nsor your CWs: that breaks both the whitelist and blacklist features, and doesn't help anyone.)
- Tag your work with personal tags and include them in your intro, if you have categories you'd like people to be able to explore. Different kinks? Finished drawings vs. sketches? The possibilities are up to you.
Remember to flag your post as "adult content!"

You can also bump the post to the top of the tag and general feeds by editing it, choosing "save draft" to unpublish it, and then hitting "publish" on the draft. This should preserve shares, replies, comments, and so on. If you don't bump it, it will still show up in the tag, but it will show up at the very bottom, before this post.)
