My replacement motherboard just got to my apt back home and dear god am I excited to actually be able to play games again once I’m home. We gotta play some halo!!!!!!
My friends and I used to play Halo Reach for the last like 4 years in between trying to get into Apex. We're now pretty into Apex, but I find Reach to be more enjoyable than 3 in terms of weapons. I grew up loving 3 the most for the longest time though
i like reach a lot but i don’t much like the armor abilities and 3’s weapon sandbox is just the platonic ideal of fps stuff to me. i also think the maps in 3 are just killer in a way the series never hit before or again
Yeah the maps on 3 rule and the equipment (especially in the beta) was incredible. I think if I could trade 3's BR for Reach's DMR, I'd be happy. My armor ability is always the invincibility but can't move one cause my friend is so much better than me that I just run in and do that right before death and then he picks off my enemies
the DMR is SO fucking good that's true. and while i like the armor abilities for the way they enable tactical maneuvers like that, i also like halo being the purest expression of my two weapons versus your two weapons and they kinda push the balance of that equation in a direction i prefer less
