let's calm down and be reasonable, we don't have to kill guilty children. it's fine to lock them up for the rest of their lives. see? we can meet in the middle. i'm good at social media
only if us locking them up is required to sustain a utopian city
You've activated my trap card! Which allows me to ask politely if you'd like the context for this screenshot because it relates to Gundam lore I know :3
So this guy is Ein Dalton. He's a mobile suit pilot for Gjallarhorn, sort of a hybrid aristocracy/military police. His commanding officer, Lt. Crank Zent was just killed in battle against the main characters, a band of child soldiers who have mutinied and taken over the Martian paramilitary company that owned them. Lt. Crank was the only guy who treated Ein with anything resembling respect, so he's a bit cross with this cadre of miscreants, and even though Crank instructed him specifically that they were not to take the lives of innocent children, here he comes to the conclusion that they're not innocent to begin with, so murdering them should be fine. He spends the rest of the first season doing everything he can to exact this justice on these kids, losing more and more of himself the longer the process drags on.
Meanwhile, the kids learn to read and join the space yakuza in order to fight for Martian independence from the earth's influence.
Now that's what I call Gundam! Looking forward to IBO when I get there.
