Halo 2 had some of the best multiplayer. It was glitchy as fuck and people weren't tryhards yet
my actual answer to this is the manner in which bxr made halo 2 a huge nightmare for me was largely solved with halo 3, and i also like the halo 3 weapon sandbox and maps better. i dislike the assault rifle being replaced by the smg and how that affects spawning in halo 2 with just an smg and feeling like you need to immediately find another dual wieldable thing or a better gun to replace it and imo the AR/BR split in 3 just works waaaaay better for that
Ur right and I agree that halo 3 was better overall. What I liked most about halo 2 multi was the fact that the maps were actually broken. I was mostly playing for super jumps, butterflying and map breaking lol
