(switching from max rank vocation to one i’ve never played before) man fighter kinda sucks huh?

I just switched from max Thief to Archer to get some decent augmentations and I do not like it
haha this was inspired by me starting my ng+ with archer. which seems like it gets really cool, but it DOES NOT have concussive leap
oh dude it’s just a straight up traversal skill you can get up on all kinds of stuff
all right I'll see if I can find a place for it in my loadout. I guess in place of the bomb-laying one?
i think my thief kit was the bomb, the snare, the leap, and the counter OR fire blades. just a lot of versatility there, love that snare
I've been really liking the upgraded fire blades which make a huge explosion + the ability that makes you autododge everything, including the self-damage from the huge explosion
see i always assumed the fire explosion skill was a joke one because you get it from the fake maister i hadn’t considered that the dodge would let you avoid the damage
yeah with that plus the ring that does extra damage from the back you can just melt a bunch of monsters
I've just been trying to get my fighter pawn to do the springboard maneuver
fighter is kind of boring until you parry a dullahan and then it’s the coolest thing in the world
yeah the thing is even a kinda boring class in dd2 is still just really fun moment to moment (except trickster which i leveled to max and just found incredibly dull the whole time)
trickster is the one class i’ve barely touched. it seems like a lot of effort to figure out and i just kind of can’t be bothered with it. mostly i forget it exists.
the thing is i kept waiting for the skill that would bring it all together for me but it never showed up. and i find the kit really interesting conceptually it’s just putting a target on one guy to make other guys attack him and then kinda…hanging out while your pawns do work isn’t super exciting. every ten or so fights you can get an ogre to jump off a cliff and it kicks ass but otherwise it sorta just feels like cheerleading?
kinda feels like something that would be really interesting if there was a whole game built around it but instead it’s the only one that feels a bit like an afterthought
