the amount of times ive had customers mobile order like. a strawberry acai lemonade without lemonade as a customization when there's a fucking separate button for the acai without lemonade is. not insignificant. -__- ......... and then there's customers who will order the most wretched drinks on a ticket almost as long as their cup is tall. letting customers have total control over the ticket was a mistake
QR code ordering is just a cyber version of a "no public bathroom" sign. a high-tech way of saying homeless people fuck off. Avoid 'em like the plague.
i've been saying this since the dawn of online ordering. Talking to someone is the only way to order food at a restaurant.
lmao yeah. there's an accent barrier made worse by my lips being hidden by my mask at a lot of places around here so the online ordering is great for that but i try so hard to never get freaky with substitions/additions and stick to the base items cause i know ill be kind of a dumbass otherwise
case and point i was at molly moon and was like "can i get the hard chocolate and also the hot fudge" and the person was like "bro the fudge is just gonna melt the chocolate" and i was like "oh fuck yeah true"
this is the thing too! like having someone who knows the food to go “hey do this instead” goes a crazy long way
