Luuuke Skywalker was a clone of the Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, who died in 9 ABY, created by Grand Admiral Thrawn to serve as his agent in the galactic community, which the Admiral controlled secretly using a legion of clones to replace prominent people.

Zahn Trilogy is so good! Fun fact I learned from it: Hot chocolate exists in the Star Wars universe, but it's an exotic drink only smugglers have access to. Luke drinks it because he gets it from Lando.
