honestly i'd just reccomend regular ol' reliable modern microsoft flight sim. you'll need a lot of disc space and a relatively workable PC, but for the genre in general as a starter, it's pretty deece. for military stuff, uhh, DCS is a bit of a hard sell to a newbie for its more hobbyist-market module-based model and janky shenanigans, but if you wanna try flying multiplayer in ww2 birds, take a gander at IL-2 Great Battles
