Capitalism has rotted my mind

I want to draw something everyday of 2024

I've been reading Scott Pilgrim recently, and there was this little doodle of Ramona's cat in the extra-pages of volume 6, and the little guy is just strolling around, and... Idk, it stuck in my head.
I don't think this is valuable training and my anxious, performance-craved brain is not taking it well even though this took me a surprisingly long amount of time. I just wanted to draw the fella, and maybe that's good enough of a reason to do so. I'm trying to focus on having fun before optimizing my learning curve. It's too early to be loosing sight of why I love art.

I'm a big fan of working on the things that you're interested in! Sometimes your interests will take you to topics that feel like serious studies but don't underestimate these little guys! 🐈

They have clear shapes, emotion, movement -- these are all important skills to work on too.

In addition to drawing, I also want to learn to be more kind with myself. I'm trying to be positive and focus on what I'm doing right rather than constantly worrying about if I should be better. Your comments are a source of reassurance, thank you! 😺
