I cannot tell these expressions apart at a glance. If I push my face right up to the screen, I can just barely make them out. They're too small for how much detail they have and there's too little contrast between the darkness of the violet and the black lines that make up their faces.

This is not a complaint about the designs! @cainoct's art is fundamentally really solid and eggbug is really cute but at this size and with this color scheme the poor beetle is illegible!

These ones are a bit more visible. @SilverStarsIllustration's designs have a much more readable color scheme, imo, but even so it's small enough that it impacts its clarity.

Compare either of them with the default smiley. Default smiley: a) has the same high visibility colors of a traffic sign and a) has its facial features farther apart from each other (even if the overall image is the same size as the others). In short, its way easier to read!

Again, I really love @cainoct and @SilverStarsIllustration's designs! I just hate that whenever someone uses them, I have to take out a magnifying glass to make out what they're trying to communicate!
